getting it right
2025's final eclipse is here
Where to begin?
Should we start with Saturn’s return to Pisces? Eclipse season? I’ve missed a few chapters since our last chat, and the cosmos have changed quite a bit — as have I :)
I’m officially living in Mexico as of Sunday, and it’s *also* my exact Saturn return in the ninth house of foreign travel, astrology, philosophy, etc. Astrology has a sense of humor, yes, and I love when transits are so glaringly obvious they’re impossible to deny. Since my last entry, I packed up my apartment in Houston, drove everything I own back home to Florida, traveled around a bit there and then boarded a one-way flight to Mexico. I don’t have much of a plan, but that’s kind of the point, I think. At 29, I’m realizing that I don’t have to be anywhere but right here. Wherever I choose to plant my feet is where home is.
But enough about me, how was this summer for all of you? Something tells me it’s been… eventful. Saturn in Aries was a fast-paced and frustrating time of trying to rapidly build something (especially for those of you with natal Saturn in Aries) but now, Saturn’s back in Pisces and there’s less of a sense of urgency. Things feel more melancholic, more emotionally heavy. There’s a sort of surrendering that must happen now, less action to be taken, some tears to be shed. Then there’s also eclipse season, activating the same axis (Virgo/Pisces) and making it near-impossible to decipher between what needs fixing and what imperfections need embracing.
It’s Virgo season, so the inclination is to correct things — and this weekend’s solar eclipse is doubling down on the urge to solve the small problems, to tidy a mess. The only problem is that Saturn is in Pisces and will be opposite the sun and moon, both in Virgo, making it near-impossible to view things through a practical lens. There’s a specific way to do things, yes — but we also have to leave room for dreaming, believing, and thinking big. It feels counterproductive, but a plan without a dream is incomplete just like how a dream without a plan is merely wishful thinking.
the partial virgo solar eclipse takes place on Sunday, September 21 at 28° Virgo.
Since this is a south node eclipse, there’s a depletion of sorts taking place in the Virgo area of your chart. Possibly a lack of clarity, understanding, or an overall plan. It’s uncomfortable since Virgo is a sign that relies very heavily on knowing exactly what’s wrong and how to solve the problem, but this weekend’s eclipse is a reminder that you won’t always know the answer or the solution to an issue, but it doesn’t have to be the end of the world. Now is less of a time to focus on “getting it right”, and an opportunity to surrender to what’s blurry and unknown.
I for one am a Cancer rising with Virgo in the third house of communication, language, and motor skills, and I can’t tell you when my Spanish will be good enough to fully rely on without the use of Google Translate. I’ve always prided myself in being quick-witted and mentally sharp in English, but here, my intelligence is challenged on the daily because I’m a newcomer to the language. It’s isolating (Saturn return things) and it challenges my Virgo third house desire to communicate with very few errors or misunderstandings. But! There’s not much that can be done about my poor Spanish-speaking skills at the moment, therefore all that’s left for me to do is surrender to what I’m not yet good at (cringe).
“Getting it right” sometimes requires you to accept that for awhile, you have to get things very wrong. I will butcher simple phrases like “Where are you from"?” until it finally clicks, and there’s nothing I can do about how long it takes for it to sink in. But the quickest way to learn is through making mistakes, so allow yourself to be imperfect without being so hard on yourself (this is also a note to self).
Now that I’m settled in Mexico, I am officially taking clients again! You can book a 1:1 session with me here: https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=20868411
Let’s chat through all things from eclipse season to your Saturn return to any other cosmic events that have been wreaking havoc. I look forward to chatting with you 🫶🏽
I’m so happy to be back here sharing astrological tidbits with you all. Thank you for being so patient with me during such a chaotic time. I’ve missed you! xxoxoxx
